FOUNDED in 1998 by Dave and Barbara Walters to give us a good excuse to get out
on a "scheduled" basis. After running the ATM for four years we had to take a few
years off to do some major house remodeling. Unfortunately, those that were hiking
with us at the beginning didn't want to take over the reins. So much for the
"scheduled" outings! We're hoping that 2008 will bring to the ATM some outdoor
enthusiasts glad to step into a leadership roll. Time will tell!

A/ These rules may be changed at any time through popular opinion. Or not!
B/ This is a fee driven "club" because fuel (for a 7 person van), tolls, entrance fees,
special events, etc is projected for each outing with nothing else added in. And,
because, there is a monthly fee to operate this web site to the benefit of all that will
use this site. These fees are per person, per event, payable to the leader in charge
with 25% of fees collected forwardable from that leader to the operator of this web
site on the date the trip commenced (currently: Dave and/or Barbara Walters).
C/ This is a dog friendly club - but only if the dog is under control. Most venues don't
allow dogs (state and national parks, some regional and county parks) so we will try
to have some trips where your dog is allowed.
D/ Safety First. You've gotta use common sense! If someone is doing something
foolish we all expect someone else to step in and stop it or we all end up paying a
price.
E/ All leaders and drivers must be over 18 and every driver must be licensed and
insured.
F/ An extra driver may be required on some trips and as such that driver will be
reimbursed for tolls and entrance fees only. Fuel expense s will be decided upon by
the respective riders.
G/ No guns, weapons, fireworks or illegal drugs are allowed on any trip. Alcohol is
allowed in moderation.
H/ All trips will be a GO with some exceptions. Rain will not cancel a trip unless it will
put life and limb in peril. Dress for potential weather. Leaving on a snow trip while
there is a blizzard raging in the high country is crazy - that's a NO GO! Ultimately, it's
up to the leader.
J/ We all travel self sufficient unless you have made other arrangements with
someone else. Some trips are catered and these will be listed.
K/ Respect and protect all vegetation, wildlife, and private property.
L/ Clean up after yourself on the trail and in camp. Pack out all waste.
M/ No fires unless permitted and then only with the leaders permission.

LIABILITY WAIVER/HOLD HARMLESS/RELEASE AGREEMENT
By signing this document the signer understands and acknowledges the fact that the activities
sponsored by the Antioch Trail Masters (hereinafter called the Club), may pose a danger to the
signer or the minor that is signed in under his/her care and that these dangers may be to life, limb
and personal property to ones self from natural conditions, acts of nature, actions of animals, other
(Club) participants and (Club) members, volunteers, leaders or third parties not associated with the
(Club), and that the signer understands that risks exist and still wishes to participate in (Club)
activities and pay the required fees and that he/she may have to exercise extra care for his/her safety
as well as the safety of others while on any (Club) activity when in the face of hazards and dangers
and that there is an understanding that while engaged in (Club) activities there may not be rescue or
medical facilities or medical expertise available to deal with the dangers or damages that may harm
life, limb and property and that the signer, his/her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns will
hold harmless all (Club) officers, employees, members, volunteers, leaders, organizers and agents
and that the (Club) officers, employees, members, volunteers, leaders, organizers and agents carry
no insurance and that it is the responsibility of the signer to have adequate insurance coverage for
any and all losses or injuries incurred to the signer or the minor in his/her care in connection with a
(Club) activity, and it is understood by the signer that the leader or leaders in charge of a (Club)
activity have the authority to enforce club regulations, and that all of the foregoing in whole is
agreed to by signing this release.
